Excerpt:
The first case was a 54-year-old woman who is a diabetic (diabetes mellitus). He was admitted on March 30 with symptoms of Inclusion and further treated with Tamiflu. Laboratory tests confirmed he was positive for H1N1. However, he also experienced problems, uncontrolled diabetes, the complications caused "severe metabolic acidosis" due to total kidney failure, other bacterial infections (sepsis) and diabetes was not controlled. X-ray of the lungs did not show any signs of pneumonia to be associated with H1N1. So his death was directly caused by complications of diabetes.
