RIYADH, Sept 22. - Saudi authorities have confidence that the hajj this year will be free of any Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).
The virus was first detected in the country last year had resulted in
58 deaths worldwide with 49 of those were in Saudi Arabia.
"We are optimistic that we can achieve a major milestone during Ramadan
Umrah season 'free' from the virus," said Health Minister of Saudi
Arabia, Abdullah al-Rabia, yesterday. - AFP
