Taipei, Jan. 12 (CNA) Taiwan's Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on Sunday received notification that Seven new human infections of avian influenza A (H7N9) virus in China and Reminded nationals traveling to the Mainland to Take Extra CAUTION. The Number of new cases, recorded in Guangdong, Zhejiang provinces and Shanghai, is the second highest reported in a single day in recent times.
It is an indication that the risk of an epidemic continues to exist, said CDC.
CDC has put the Chinese Provinces and cities where human infections have been reported on a list for Travel Alert. They include Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Hunan Provinces and Shanghai and Beijing. The Other areas of China are being kept on Watch. In Taiwan, a Total of 486 Suspected H7N9 infections have been reported to Date, with only three Remaining Two confirmed and to be Verified. Both confirmed Cases Involved Visitors from China .
