Urgent Care Worker Being Tested By CDC
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) ― New Hampshire is reporting a second "probable case" of swine flu. No details have been released, but officials have scheduled a briefing Thursday evening.
Earlier in the day, officials announced an employee at Concord Hospital is being treated for a probable case of the illness.
Health officials say no other hospital workers, patients or visitors are at risk from the worker, who went for treatment immediately after feeling ill and has not been at the hospital since.
The employee is recovering at home, as the state awaits test results to determine if the illness is swine flu. Officials say the hospital employee has not traveled to Mexico or been in contact with anyone who has. They are investigating how and where the worker was infected.
