The Director of the hospital cases were 5 children and 3 women.

كشف تقرير صادر عن إدارة الطب الوقائي بوزارة الصحة عن رصد الوزارة لـ 6549 حالة اشتباه بمرض إنفلونزا الطيور منذ ظهور المرض في فبراير من عام 2006 و أشار التقرير إلي تصدر محافظة القاهرة محافظات مصر في أعداد الأشخاص المشتبه في إصابتهم بمرض إنفلونزا الطيور بـ 861 حالة يليها الغربية بـ823 حالة ثم كفر الشيخ بـ542 حالة فيما تتذيل محافظات شمال وجنوب سيناء ومرسي مطروح في آخر القائمة بحالتي إصابة لكل منهم بينما لم تشهد محافظة 6 أكتوبر أي إصابات
يأتي ذلك في الوقت الذي أعلنت فيه وزارة الصحة أمس الأول عن الإصابة رقم 66 بالمرض لطفلة تدعي منار سعد - سنة ونصف السنة - بمحافظة كفر الشيخ دخلت علي إثرها مستشفي حميات المحافظة وهي تعاني ارتفاعًا في درجة الحرارة وسعالاً عقب تعرضها لطيور نافقة يشتبه إصابتها بالمرض
وحول المخاوف التي أطلقها تقرير لمنظمة الصحة العالمية عن تحور فيروس إنفلونزا الطيور في مصر مما يؤدي إلي انتشاره بين البشر، أكد الدكتور عادل خطاب - مستشار وزير الصحة لمكافحة إنفلونزا الطيور- أن فيروس إنفلونزا الطيور مازال علي هيئته الأولي ينتقل من الطيور إلي الإنسان فقط، ولم تشهد مصر حتي الآن أي تحور للفيروس يؤدي إلي انتقاله بين البشر وبعضهم البعض، كما أنه لم يدخل مرحلة الأمراض شديدة الضراوة بدليل أن مصر لم تشهد أي حالة وفاة بين 14 إصابة بالمرض هذا العام، لافتا إلي أن تقرير الصحة العالمية لا يحتوي علي أي دليل يؤكد تحور الفيروس أو إصابة شخص دون أن تظهر عليه الأعراض، مشيرًا إلي أن جميع حالات الاشتباه في الإصابة بالمرض تم تحويلها علي مستشفيات الحميات لإخضاعها للفحوصات الطبية، مشيرًا إلي أن الإصابات المتتالية التي تشهدها مصر سببها التربية المنزلية للطيور رغم حملات التوعية والقوانين التي سنتها الوزارة منذ عدة سنوات لمكافحة المرض
وقالت الدكتورة سوزان العباسي - مديرة مستشفي حميات كفر الشيخ: إن المستشفي استقبل 8 حالات يشتبه في إصابتهم بالمرض ومن بينهم الطفل عمرو إبراهيم زيدان - 5 سنوات -، شقيق الطفلة منار إبراهيم التي تأكدت إصابتها بالمرض.
وأكدت مديرة المستشفي أن الحالات هم 5 أطفال و3 سيدات.
