Thailand reported two more swine flu-related deaths yesterday and ordered some private schools to close for two weeks because of recent spikes in cases. It also asked Internet cafes and arcades to consider closing temporarily. Meanwhile, New Zealand announced its sixth death yesterday, and Indonesia said a staffer at the U.S. Embassy there was infected. Thailand has had 13 swine flu-related deaths so far. According to latest figures Monday from the World Health Organization, there have been 94,512 swine flu cases worldwide and 429 deaths. |
