Secara mikroskopik the bacteria anthraks had the shape of the stick (bacil) and had an aerobe nature (needed oxygen to live). In the wild, anthraks could form spores that kept dozens of years in the land and could become the source of the spread to the animal and humankind. The animal that was sensitive to anthraks was especially cattle, the sheep, the goat, the water buffalo, and the pig.

Generally the animal that infected anthrax will show the clinical sign like: the high fever, trembled, the production of milk descended, appetite was lost, outside blackish blood (like tar) from the body hole (the nose, the mouth, the anus, et cetera), sometimes the urine was mixed with blood and usually dies suddenly.

As for was based on the organ that was attacked by the clinical sign to humankind had four types anthraks, namely the type anthraks skin, the type of the digestion/anthraks the intestines, the type of breathing/anthraks the lungs, and the type anthraks the brain.
