Millions worth of frozen goods from China were seized by the Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group (PASG) in a warehouse in Valenzuela on Friday.

PASG operatives said they recovered boxes of frozen peking ducks, black chicken, geese, fish fillets, squids, and different kinds of seafood balls from the warehouse along Maysan Road.

The agency said all of the frozen products came from China with an estimated value of P100 million.

The PASG said the frozen goods that could be contaminated with avian influenza or bird flu, were smuggled to the country and was able to slip pass the Bureau of Customs.

Some PASG operatives said the goods passed the customs because of its erring employees or officials.

The agency said there is an existing ban against Chinese peking ducks in the country. It said the ban was implemented six years ago.
