توالت حالات الاشتباه فى الإصابة بمرض أنفلونزا الطيور، بالمحافظات فى الظهور، بينما أعلنت وزارة الصحة بشكل رسمى الإصابة الـ70 بالمرض.

وقالت الوزارة فى بيان لها إنه وقعت حتى الآن 26 حالة وفاة، بينما تماثل للشفاء 42 حالة، بالإضافة إلى 6 حالات مازالت تخضع للعلاج.

من جانبه، أكد الدكتور عبد الرحمن شاهين المتحدث الرسمى باسم وزارة الصحة، أن هذه الحالة رقم 70 وهى لطفل يدعى "محمود على الشافعى" يبلغ من العمر سنتين من كفر صقر بالشرقية، قائلا إن بداية ظهور الأعراض على الطفل كانت يوم 10 من الشهر الجارى، ودخل على أثرها مستشفى حميات الزقازيق وهو يعانى من ارتفاع فى درجة الحرارة ورشح بسبب تعرضه لطيور نافقة.
