أعلنت مديرية الشئون الصحية بالمنوفية عن حجز 3 حالات جديدة للاشتباه فى إصابتهم بأنفلونزا الطيور إثر ظهور أعراض المرض عليهم، وأشار د.هشام عطا وكيل وزارة الصحة بالمنوفية إلى أن الحالة الأولى لعامل يدعى عبد العظيم رمضان أبو السعود (57 سنة) ويقيم بناحية دنشواى مركز الشهداء والحالة الثانية للطالبة منار محمد نجيب مختار (14 سنة) وتم حجزهما بمستشفى حميات شبين الكوم والحالة الثالثة للطفل صبحى عبد الهادى عمره سنة بمستشفى صدر شبين الكوم إثر ظهور أعراض الإصابة عليهم من ارتفاع فى درجة الحرارة وحمى وقئ، وتم أخذ عينة من دم المصابين وإرسالها إلى المعامل المركزية بوزارة الصحة للفحص.
وقامت الأجهزة المعنية من الطب البيطرى والصحة والمجلس المحلى بالانتقال لمنازل المصابين وإعدام الطيور وتطهير أماكن التربية والمناطق المجاورة بالطرق الصحية الآمنة.
