The West Bengal government has decided to form disaster management committee at the village, Panchayat, Block and Municipality levels in order to tackle and combat natural disasters. After an all party meeting in Kolkata, the Minister for state Disaster Management, Mr. Murtaza Hussain said that work on training disaster management personnel has already begun with the aid of UNDP and the central government in ten districts.
