218 New Cases Reported In Last Week

HONOLULU -- The Hawaii Department of Health announced on Wednesday that it will no longer provide the public updates on the number of new cases of swine flu each week. DOH officials said they would instead direct people to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that gets the information from each state.

The state did announce that 218 new cases were found in the past week. That brings the total number of cases to 516 since the first case was confirmed on May 5.
