Previously, on 26 / 2, Ministry of Health confirmed the first case of death in 2010 by avian influenza H5N1 infection.



About two new cases, the Department of Preventive Health and Environment (Ministry of Health), including two patients (one in Khanh Hoa, Tuyen Quang in a) are related directly / indirectly to sick birds / dead with no known cause.



In Vietnam, this is the case of little H5N1 infection but still pull through. In 2008, there are five cases of influenza, all five were fatal.

Patients in Khanh Hoa female, 3 years old, residing in Ninh Than, Ninh Hoa district, Khanh Hoa province. Patients starting on January 27, 2010 patients with high fever 39 degrees C, cough, runny nose. On January 28, the patient was taken to the hospital district of Ninh Hoa examination and diagnosis of upper respiratory tract inflammation; patients have been taking product samples for testing. On February 12, test results at the Pasteur Institute of Nha Trang for a positive result for influenza A/H5N1.



Currently, patients were treated and healthy recovery. The epidemiological survey showed that people in the family and no one was around the same disease, it must not be sick poultry / death series, family raising chickens, but patients must not be chicken illness / death. Nearly a month ago, at the ostrich farm (the patient's home near 1 km) with ostrich phenomenon unexplained death.



As announced on February 25, 2010 the Department of Animal Health - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, currently in Ninh Hoa District and Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa avian influenza has 21 days.



Patients in Tuyen Quang are female, 17 years old, residing in New Social Movement, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang. Patients with disease onset on February 19, 2010 with symptoms of high fever 38.9 degrees C, cough, sore throat. Patients are brought to treatment at clinics Tan movement, then forwarded to the General Hospital Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province on February 24, 2010. Here, patients treated with Tamiflu as the treatment regimen for suspected influenza A/H5N1 ca.



Currently, patients with mild difficulty breathing, not breathing machine, X-ray images of lung progressed well and are managed, treated in general hospitals Son Duong district. Disease before 10 days, in a patient with sick chickens occur / death unknown causes, patients with sick chickens involved destruction / death of the family.



Thus, from early 2010 until now, the country has received three suspected cases positive for influenza A/H5N1 in humans, including the first deaths.



Before putting the back of accrued H5N1 in humans, the Health Ministry continues to recommend that people absolutely do not slaughter sick birds use / death and must report immediately to local authorities. In addition, people should make sure to drink boiled cooked food, when symptoms of fever or difficulty breathing to the nearest medical facility for diagnosis and timely treatment.
