Vietnam: Hanoi Cholera: Food undetermined causes cholera

Dr. Tran Nhu Duong, Deputy Director of the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, on 12-5, says Hanoi and some northern provinces still recorded scattered cases of acute diarrhea caused by cholera bacteria.

From early March until now, the North has recorded more than 100 patients with acute diarrhea in five provinces and city: Ha Noi, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong.

According to epidemiologists, patients suffering from cholera in Hanoi early this year have not yet determined what caused food.
