Liputan6.com, Bone: Hundreds of chickens died suddenly in the Village Ponceng, Bone regency, South Sulawesi. Allegedly the chickens died of bird flu that is circulating in the area. Dead chickens salivate.
Chicken deaths suddenly make people uneasy. They are also disappointed that the chickens will be consumed in order to welcome the Hari Raya Iduladha. Related to this issue, the residents asked for help to the agencies concerned.
From the results of the Department of Animal Husbandry, dead chickens tested positive for bird flu. Hundreds of dead chickens were immediately destroyed by fire in the hole ground so as not to infect other chickens that are still healthy.
After doing the burial of the dead chickens, Animal Health Service provide the drug. According to officials, who are still healthy chickens suitable for consumption by humans because it is not harmful to health.
