Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Directorate General for disease Control and Environmental Health (P2PL) Ministry of Health announced a new case of bird flu (H5N1) in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
"This case has been confirmed by the Center for Biomedical and Health Technology, Ministry of Health Balitbangkes, positive bird flu," said Head of Public Communication Murti Utami Health Ministry in a press release here on Monday.
Cases of bird flu was found on the man with the initials D (17) which is a resident Lingsar, West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara province and worked as a construction worker.According to Murti, the chronological case was on February 28, 2012 symptoms of fever, dated March 1 patient and outpatient treatment to a health center Lingsar until March 4, were treated at health centers Narmada.On March 7, the case was referred to the department of Mataram and treated at the hospital but the patient's health condition worsened and on March 9, died at 23:50 pm.

With the increase in one case, the cumulative number of bird flu in Indonesia since 2005 to date is 188 cases with 156 deaths.
Director General of the Ministry of Health P2PL Tjandra Yoga Aditama as the focal point of the International Health Regulations (IHR) called Murti has been informed about the case to the WHO.
