Malta: Swine Flu: National Pandemic meeting at 1230 hrs

A National Pandemic meeting will be held at 1230 hrs to assess the current situation regarding the multi-strain swine flu which has kept health authorities worldwide battling to keep contained.

The meeting will be chaired by Director General of Public Health Dr Raymond Busuttil.
The UN has warned the virus has the potential to become a pandemic, but added that the world was better prepared than ever to deal with the threat.

Has Malta brought in any measures yet at ports of entry? If not why the delay? Given we are so densely populated the illness would spread fast in Malta...all measures should be taken to avoid it's entry!

I totally agree with the above comment. The Maltese Government should issue the plan they have in place so that the general public is aware of the measures that will be taken when the first cases are confirmed in Malta.
