Egypt: Sohag Gov. Raises Alert For Avian Flu & Swine Flu

Major General Mohsin Al-Numani Governor of Sohag raising the alert level Department of Veterinary Medicine and coordination between them and the directorates of health, agriculture and the continued closure of unlicensed farms

Through the meeting chaired by the Governor, Major General Mohsin Al-Numani Governor of Sohag in the presence of directors of directorates of health and veterinary medicine, agriculture, education and the media. And that held by the Higher Committee to combat avian flu and swine in Sohag Governorate.

The Governor emphasized that during the meeting, the distribution of drug (Tamiflu) ..
The governor decided to ban the transfer of Sblp and farm waste only after making sure of their integrity.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health that there are no suspected cases of HIV infection, either pigs or birds and that there is good control on all food outlets and markets, as well as examination of good drinking water samples

The governor stressed on the Prohibition of the circulation and sale of live birds in the shops in cities and provide facilities to change the activity of these stores to sell frozen turkeys . .
