Indonesia: Tangerang - 8 yo Suspected H5N1 Bird Flu

Ati says Tangerang City Health Department has been tracking the field and found that the patient had returned three months ago to visit from Cilacap. In the region of residence did not find any people hanging around.

"Patients also had no history of exposure to poultry and around the house there are no dead birds," said Ati.

FI patients experiencing pain since one week ago with initial symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath. Prior referred to Tangerang General Hospital, was treated FI Aminah Hospital, Ciledug.

In 2005 there were six suspect bird flu. One died, although the results of Research and Development showed negative patients. Precisely positive patients live.

A year later, in 2006 found one suspect turned out positive and died, 2007 found six suspected, 4 positive people end up dead. In 2008 there are 10 suspect bird flu, four positive and die. In 2009 as many as six suspected nothing positive and 2010 have 3 suspect, including FI.
