11 Residents Kotamobagu Unexpected Contaminated Bird Flu

Tomuka explain the patient was referred to the General Hospital of the Hospital Datoe Kandou Binangkang Kotamobagu City, totaling 10 people, but that one person should also be treated since the introduction in direct contact with the patient.

Tomuka said the patient was isolated in a room D5 Kandou Hospital and treated in accordance with the procedure, where the officers had to use special clothing for their care, to avoid things yangh undesirable.

"We are awaiting the results of observation for all patients and wished that they were not exposed to the virus, because their condition is very good now, so the city hopes the best," said Tomuka.

Tomuka said while awaiting results of observations of bird flu test operation, the patient must remain under close observation until there is certainty of outcome. To this Tomuka said, the hospitals formed a special team of doctors to look after the patients.

While the Chief Medical Officer of the City Kotamobagu, Salmon Helweldery, said patients who are being treated in RSU Kandou that there were four women and six men, and they come from one family.

According Helweldery these patients treated for poultry in the vicinity where they lived, died suddenly and suspected H5N1 virus. So they feared to be contaminated with the virus, so it must be admitted to the hospital.

Helweldery said the results of inspection of all poultry in the positive Gogagoman contracting the H5N1 virus that destroyed all of them by burning to avoid lest there also transmit to humans.

While in Manado itself, the city Department of Agriculture and Livestock has banned the entry of meat from Kotamobagu because he refused until the meat is not consumed by the citizens deserve to go and Manado.
