Egypt's first vaccine against avian influenza virus

In the transformation of a unique of its kind in the plan to combat bird flu virus in poultry farms, fierce, were produced the first vaccine to combat the Egyptian strain of the virus from two locally isolated from Egyptian poultry farms, achieving great success by 100% in the protection of birds and one of the major companies Egyptian producers of poultry from bird flu infections, which has been the experience of the new vaccine for the first time under the control of the scientific veterinary Ministry of Agriculture.


This was announced by Dr. Magdi Mr. professor of infectious diseases at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cairo and the port vaccine, the new Egyptian, called Meevak and is the first of its kind in the Middle East and is produced in Egypt with investments of an Egyptian and experiences of Franco-Egyptian-American, Indian, according to the latest international standards, the first serious confrontation of the virus bird flu to protect the investments of the poultry industry in Egypt and in excess of 22 billion pounds.


This came during a scientific conference held in Al Ain Sokhna and experienced professors of faculties of medicine and veterinary experts the General Authority for Veterinary Services to offer non-traditional solutions to address the disease threat to the poultry industry in Egypt.
