Bengkulu (ANTARA News) - Tim prevention of bird flu out of Bengkulu Province "rapid test" or the rapid assay to determine whether infected or dead birds from spreading the virus.
"Starting today we ran out of test kits to determine whether infected or dead birds from the bird flu virus," said the Bird Flu Disease Management Coordinator (PPFB) Emran Kuswady Bengkulu province on Monday.
He said he ran out of supplies because of the many tests of chickens that died suddenly that testing should be done so that we can be sure of not contracting or bird flu virus.
"Besides, we also ran out of supplies clothes security officers to destroy birds that tested positive for bird flu virus, so if any poultry that died suddenly our difficulty to handle it," he said.
He said, had contacted Tim PPFB in Jakarta to call for help sent rapidtest and clothes security officers to destroy the positive poultry bird flu.
"We request sent at least 24 pieces of equipment and clothing 15 security officers for each district / city in the whole province of Bengkulu. Hopefully quickly dispatched so that if found positive poultry bird flu quickly handled," he said.
It also was idle due to the discovery of a dead chickens tested positive for bangkok male bird flu virus in the RT 10 RW 4 Village Gardens Beler Bengkulu City.
"We have destroyed seven chickens owned by residents RT 10 RW 4 Beler Bengkulu City Garden Village because certainly one of them tested positive for bird flu virus," he said.
PPFB team noted the discovery of cases of positive chicken bird flu in the village was the first case in 2012. Meanwhile, in 2011 found 349 positive birds bird flu. (MHE * I016/I016)
