CDC issues HFMD travel notice for Vietnam

The Vietnam Ministry of Health has reported approximately 50,000 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease as of May 24; this includes a total 27 fatalities, all children under the age of five.
The following cities and provinces leading the way in cases: Hai Phong, Bac Can, Yen Bai, Da Nang, Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Quang Tri, Binh Dinh and Dong Thap.
This has prompted the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to issue a travel notice Friday for travelers to the Southeast Asian country.
