Vietnam #H1N1 Update on Ha Giang Outbreak

From: Na Bau, Ngoc Duong, Ha Giang city,

Onset:  6/19, diarrhea, coughing in a.m., runny nose, chest tightness, fever sweating, headache

Adm:  6/22 Medical Center

Adm:  6/28  Provincial Hospital

sym’s on adm: high fever, cough, breathless

Diag. on Adm:  Resp. Tract Infec.

Confirmed:  6/27

Note:  14 Suspected; 3 Hospitalized in General Hospital Hà Giang và Trạm and Community Health Center’s.  10 patients treated at home.

DOD:  4/7

Dr. Nguyen Thi Du, Director of the Health Center Ha Giang (Ha Giang Province), said:
Center is urgently zoning, controlled A/H1N1 flu outbreak in Na Bau, Ngoc Tang (Ha Giang). 23 patients, suspected influenza A/H1N1 have been isolated, close supervision.
Of the 23 patients, suspected influenza A/H1N1 in Na Bau, five patients were treated at the Department of Infectious provincial general hospital. All five patients had been taking samples sent for testing. Test results showed that five samples were positive for influenza A/H1N1.
