تلقى اللواء مجدى أبو قمر مدير أمن البحيرة إخطاراً من مستشفى حميات دمنهور باحتجاز إيمان محمد أبو شديد (3 سنوات) رفيدة عبد الوهاب (5 شهور) رزق محمد عبد الرحمن (56 سنه) هند سالم فوزى (17 سنة) خالد أيمن عبد المنعم( 5 سنوات)، وأحمد رمضان ممدوح ( 10 سنوات) نظيمة احمد زكى( 22 سنة).

وعلى الفور تم عزل الحالات وقائياً بالمستشفى بعد أخذ عينة دم منهم لتحليلها بالمعامل المركزية بالقاهرة لبيان مدى إصابتهم بالمرض.
