Add Ca Mau province has bird flu

(HNMO) - On 7-12, Veterinary Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) certified, avian influenza has appeared on the Ca Mau province, bringing the total number of localities in the country to offer three provinces.

According to the report of the Regional Veterinary VII, the last 2-12 days, at the Noble Hamlet, Tan An Commune, Ngoc Hien district (Ca Mau) has appeared the phenomenon of dead birds suspected of avian influenza. After conducting tests of dead birds, the results have identified the virus as H5N1 avian influenza virus. Veterinary existing agencies and local authorities are actively implementing measures for prevention as prescribed.

Thus, on the country, three provinces where bird flu 21 days, including Nam Dinh, Nghe An and Ca Mau. Besides, the 12 provinces of Dak Lak and Son La, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Phu Yen, Bac Ninh, Yen Bai, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Lang Son and Bac Kan have FMD in cattle may 21 days; four provinces of Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak province, Thanh Hoa and Ca Mau have PRRS in pigs.
