BEIJING, Dec. 14, according to Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao reported that the Shenzhen farmers market recently detected H7N9 avian influenza virus nucleic acid positive, Guangdong for Hong Kong chickens caused concern. Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau officials said that Guangdong is the province of live chickens from the Mainland, and that the authorities of the area currently has 39 registered live poultry farm in Hong Kong, of which 28 are registered farm chickens, live chickens daily for about 5000, as well as chilled chickens to Hong Kong every day over 140,000.
He added that the variation for the bird flu strain appeared, from April of this year, Guangdong, Hong Kong live poultry vaccines for upgrading of live poultry to Hong Kong for the introduction of new vaccines (RE-6), to ensure the safety of poultry supplied to Hong Kong.-snip-
