وتم أخذ عينة دم ومسحة حلق من المرضى، وإرسالها للمعامل المركزية الخاصة بوزارة الصحة للتأكد من إصابتهم بالمرض من عدمه، كما تم إعطاؤهم عقار التايمفلو، صرح بذلك الدكتور شريف حمودة وكيل وزارة الصحة بالغربية.
