Argentina: 60 Deaths from Swine Flu (up from 55 reported yesterday)

RA Buenos Aires, July 5 (Telam) .- The Ministry of Health of the Nation today reported 60 deaths in Argentina due to influenza A and 2485 confirmed cases in all sample provinces, using data from the Institute Malbrán .

Meanwhile, the Ministry strengthens the equipment and supplies in the provinces for the care of patients suffering from Influenza A H1N1 in different hospitals and primary care centers, including 800 thousand complete treatments of antiviral oseltamivir, breathing and pulse oximeters.

The disease continues to have greater impact on the City of Buenos Aires and the Province of Buenos Aires, where there are total of 1870 cases.

The distribution of deaths by jurisdiction shows bonaerense territory with 42 deaths; Federal Capital with 6 dead; metropolitan unspecified, 1 died, Santa Fe, Misiones and 9, 2.

Influenza A in the world recorded 91,633 cases of human infection by the virus in 123 countries have confirmed with 409 deaths.

The region of South America reported 12,547 positive cases of Influenza A H1N1 infection, of which Chile, with 7342 cases and 14 deaths, and Argentina, are listed with the highest incidence of the disease .- (Telam).
