KAWANGKOAN - The bird flu virus or virus H5NI, this time struck the village Kanonang Minahasa regency. Thousands of poultry (chicken and duck) were destroyed due to suspected bird flu. Head of Department of Agriculture and Livestock Ir. Yohanis Panelewen say, around 2466 when poultry is destroyed.

Panelewen said, "2466 poultry (chicken and duck) now destroyed, and a strong suspicion this virus originated from fighting cocks who often brought their owners in various areas ranging from Minahasa itself, until the area Bolaang Mongondow."
