Japan has said no to Australian imports of chicken and egg products - including ice cream and cake.
It's concerned about an outbreak of a low pathogenic form of bird flu that was found on two farms north of Melbourne last friday.
The outbreak has meant that 25,000 ducks across the two farms have been slaughtered, but it has not effected poultry or egg consumption here.
Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Hong Kong have banned imports of poultry from Victoria, while Japan has suspended all Australian imports.
Victorian Chicken Meat Council President Alan Wilson says he's not suprised by the response.
