TEMPO.CO , San Antonio - Chile officials ask them to help save the birds, after thousands of birds that die at the same time along the coast of Chile this week. At least 2300 dead birds were found along the coast between Cartagena and Playa de Santo Domingo, Chile, said Jose Luis Britos environmental professor and director of the Museum of Natural History of San Antonio, Chile. Birds who die from several species. Generally, they had injuries on the wing and bruises on the outside of their bodies. "It looks like they are caught in fishing nets," he said. He said the bird deaths occurred due to fishing nets every year, but never at this level semasif. Typically, only about 15 to 20 birds only. Another possibility, he said, is climate change. "As well as becoming increasingly warmer waters cause mass death pelicans in Peru."
