One case of cholera cases occurred in Hong Kong

Center for Health Protection today (December 20) are investigating a case of cholera has been confirmed, and to remind the public whether in Hong Kong or traveling abroad, we must take preventive measures, pay attention to good personal, food and environmental hygiene.

The case involved a 11-year-old boy who suffered from diarrhea in the December 9 symptoms, laboratory results showed that his stool samples for Vibrio cholerae Ogawa positive. He is treated in isolation at Princess Margaret Hospital in stable condition. A few days ago the boy's mother was found to be infected with cholera, admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital for isolation and treatment, but recovered and were discharged yesterday.

7, Africa: Cholera

Eight Democratic Republic of the Congo: Viral Hemorrhagic Fever

9, Egypt: human infection of highly pathogenic avian influenza

11, Sierra Leone: yellow fever

12, Malaysia: Chikungunya fever
