Hunan confirmed a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza infection is in a critical condition

吴某某patients, 16 years old, male, students, who lives in Qiandongnan Prefecture of Guizhou Province. January 8 this year, patients in Guizhou morbidity due to illness, so Huaihua City, Hunan Province on the 16th into hospitalization. Patient is now in a critical condition and are actively in treatment.

January 17, the Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention laboratory specimens of patient testing, the results for the H5N1 avian influenza virus nucleic acid positive; January 19, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention review of patient specimens for testing, the results for poultry positive for H5N1 influenza virus nucleic acid.
