Bali: Not Enough Medical Facilities To Accomodate Victims of #H5N1 #Birdflu

We posted this here on October 26th. It spoke of the virus jumping very far between outbreaks:

State (Between Bali) - The government Jembrana feel overwhelmed address the spread of bird flu viruses sporadically and not focused on one region.
Head of Department of Health and Welfare Jembrana, Dr. Putu Suasta, Kes, said Wednesday its handling will be easier if the spread of the virus in only one region.

The majority of RS Not Ready to face bird flu
Denpasar (Bali Reuters) - Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office Dr. Nyoman Sutedja said, the majority of hospitals in the region are not ready to face the bird flu virus outbreak.

"For hospitals that deal specifically with reference to the bird flu, should be seen from the ability of hospitals concerned. If the RS type B might, but in Bali is still largely of type C," he said, in Denpasar on Sunday.

According to him, for now in Bali there are only three hospitals as the reference penangggulangan bird flu, namely Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar, Tabanan Hospital, and Hospital Sanjiwani, Gianyar.

He admits it's not easy for hospitals in the district to be a reference to prevention of disease caused by H5N1 virus, given in addition to a variety of facilities and infrastructure necessary to cangggih also because of the limitations of medical personnel.

"The medical specialists are still piling up in urban areas," he said
