Citizens Asked to Beware of Bird Flu Riau

PEKANBARU: Riau Residents asked to be wary of bird flu. For cases of bird flu occurred in Riau until early October has seen an increase compared to last year. We have already recorded 120 cases of bird flu by the number of dead birds as much as 4200 more tails.

It is said the head of Animal Health Affairs Sri Mulyani Disnak Riau, Monday (17/10). According to him, in 2010 and the case of poultry deaths occurred only 84 cases aligned number of dead birds far below the amount this year.

The high mortality of birds occur until early October, this is more due to factors occurring weather changes suddenly. even with climate change will occur until December, the number of poultry deaths is expected to continue to grow.

Of the 12 districts / cities in Riau, Pekanbaru highest incidence of cases with 38 cases, but deaths are relatively small birds, the tail 725. Meanwhile in Kampar regency, although the cases that occurred only 25 cases, but reached 2131 dead birds tail.
