Indonesia is lying about recent Bird flu suspects and deaths
..even though he may have eaten sick birds, handled sick poultry or even got sick from a relative who just died from it...
they will tell you that the death of an suspected H5N1 person is anything BUT bird flu
.. they may say he had typhus, dengue, bad pneumonia, malaria....Now they want you to believe he had H1N1 flu..
They really just threw their ass in the fire. If h1n1 is floating around, Why don't The rest of his relatives or co-workers show signs of this HIGHLY infective strain of flu?.. and iF this person just died of that, and had a few dead birds around, then the pigs they mention in this story should bring it home to you in F-LYING colors..

I think one might be jumping to conclusions with this article and the commentary is rather unprofessional.
Indonesia has a decent track record
or reporting H5N1 cases and keeping the populace informed.
Not to mention the term of H1N1 does not exclusively refer to the pandemic strains.
It's a possibility this was a less
contagious H1N1 strain he was infected with.
Skepticism is important but I think this post went to far, and was not of a quality I expect from this blog.
It is quite bizarre. It seems this news is being manipulated by ball-scratchers, to put it bluntly. As a relative of mine put it, these countries are run by people who get into positions of leadership by being ruthless and nasty, and are too egotistical to even solicit the expertise of people who have any idea what they're dealing with. This pandemic is so going to happen, and my fellow Americans over here have no understanding of how ripe the world is for such a catastrophe. 7 billion people, breathing in one another's faces and continent-hopping on airplanes. The tropical regions most susceptible to novel pathogen emergence are almost completely run by knuckle-draggers who won't admit when they need outside experts.

Don't kid yourself or try to mislead anyone who reads your drivel. Indonesia is right up there with China on lying about victims of H5N1. Maybe you would like to read how great they are on another blog or website.. and pretending you and their populace are being told the truth is dangerous for the world. If you weren't scared, you wouldn't be Anonymous.
You come here for the news as it is, but if you want to believe anything they say, after it has changed or after stalling tactics in reporting, you go right ahead.;}
Another concern to add to everything else is the operation of nuclear power plants. An H5 or similar pandemic could hit hard and fast enough to cause a staffing problem for any facility. I spoke to one power plant employee here in the US and as far as I can tell, the pandemic preparedness plans for nuke plants sit deep in filing cabinets gathering dust.
Nobody wants to be known as a point of origin for a disease like pandemic H5, that is understandable. But manipulating or suppressing news for purely economic damage control will only cause fatal delays in the decisive and rational response that the situation demands.
The news is scary, but people need to be scared. That's what wakes people up.
