Vietnam: Kien Giang Prov. near Cambodia Border tests Suspected Human Case #H5N1; Negative results

 [You can see on the map below,  the proximity to the Cambodian border, specifically the Kampong Province, where our most recent death was from.  This is the first H5N1 poultry outbreak in the province of Kien Giang.]


The Morning 27-2, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said Kien Giang, agriculture and health has culled all 300 birds infected with influenza virus A-H5N1 in a household in Hon Dat district (Kien Giang). This is the first outbreak of A-H5N1 flu discovered in Kien Giang
After destruction, specialized agencies have conducted disinfection, sterilization and vaccination against influenza for the entire of uninfected avian influenza, in the outbreak in accordance.
Earlier, Hon Dat District Hospital has received a patient with symptoms of fever suspected influenza A-H5N1. Isolation hospital patients, and in collaboration with the Center for Preventive Medicine Kien Giang blood sample sent for now, at the Pasteur Institute (Ho Chi Minh). However, a negative test result for this patient.
