أعلنت مديرية الشؤون الصحية بالمنوفية، عن احتجاز حالتين للاشتباه فى إصابتهما بأنفلونزا الطيور، وهما ثناء عبدالسلام سليمان «٤٢ سنة»، ورشا عزت حسين حامد «٢٠ سنة»، وتم حجزهما بمستشفى حميات شبين الكوم، وتم أخذ عينات منهما وإرسالها إلى المعامل المركزية بوزارة الصحة، وتم ضبط ٢١ ألفاً و٢٤٣ طائراً حياً، وإغلاق ٧ مزارع مرخصة و٧ محال لبيع الطيور.
