BRUSSELS, July 15 (KUNA) -- The Belgian army started Wednesday transports of drugs and equipment needed to combat swine flu. Army trucks are taking antivirals and face masks from the storage depot to distribution centres in every Belgian province, Belgian media reported today. The drugs and masks will be handed on to doctors and local care centres across Belgium.
Ingrid Baeck, spokeswoman of the Belgian armed forces, said 30 troops and 15 vehicles are involved in the operation: "We're distributing 900,000 face masks and 90,000 doses of antivirals," she said.
Meanwhile business houses in Belgium are promoting anti flu tips. The Dexia bank is encouraging its staff no longer to shake hands.
