HK: The effectiveness of the vaccine of avian flu have grown up with the chickens and drop

AFCD Assistant Director Thomas Sit pointed out that the injection of live chickens for bird flu vaccine is not 100 percent effective. The effectiveness of the vaccine will also grow up with the chickens and the decline in farms there is a need for chickens to fight in the second needle.

He said that many are from the direction of the search for the origin of the virus, but so far there were no cases of smuggling of chicken.

Dr Sit said that the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department are still investigating the Yuen Long farm outbreak of avian influenza at its source, in addition to a sample test, is also conducting gene sequencing tests to find out whether there is a variant of the virus.
