Public hospitals on the alert against bird flu (Hong Kong Wen)

In response, the Government announced a local chicken farm samples showed positive for H5N1 avian influenza and a serious start contingency level, the Hospital Authority and the Central Emergency Response Committee on Infectious Diseases held an emergency meeting and decided that public hospitals in the area of avian flu preparedness to enhance the appropriate response to a serious level .
