Azerbaijan has started monitoring to detect avian influenza virus

From 16 February on the territory of Azerbaijan started monitoring to detect avian influenza virus. About IA REGNUM was informed at the press service of the State Veterinary Service (PBS) of Azerbaijan, noting that the monitoring will be conducted throughout the republic in poultry.

Monitoring the same among wild birds held in the Absheron National Park, in Devechi, Salyan, and Agjabedi Lenkoran. Monitoring will be completed on 27 February. WAN advises the public include poultry in closed conditions, and not to sell to hunt migratory birds, and not to use the meat of these birds for food.

Recall that during the previous monitoring tests were taken from 33 wild birds, as well as the pathological material and blood samples from 1982 domestic birds of different poultry farms. As a result of inspections has found no avian influenza virus.
