U.S. funding to prevent the flu and influenza

(- Today, in Nam Male , Incorporating activities on prevention and control avian influenza and influenza in the official start. This program by Agency for International Development U.S. (USAID) funding. Partners in implementing the training will prevent, control avian influenza and influenza in the veterinary staff, managers and aquaculture, agriculture officials, traders and transport of poultry, the farms small birds. Managers at district level will be provided new skills of epidemiology and surveillance initiative; medical staff at provincial level will be trained to prevent and plan for disease. In addition, the activities of raising awareness about community epidemics will also be developed. USAID is supporting, including Hung Yen, Quang Tri, Can Tho and Kien Giang. Since 2005, the U.S. government through USAID has provided 25.7 million dollars for activities to prevent and control avian influenza in Vietnam Nam.
