Yes, this is the sort of thing everybody likes to say started not here, but over there. I guess the only good thing about a virus as uncontrollably destructive as this one is that although you never know what it's going to do, once it does it you know it was pretty darn inevitable anyway.

This particular outbreak of H5N1 may spread from Israel to Egypt or other countries, but according to WHO, H5N1 is already ENDEMIC -- which means entrenched and widely pervasive -- in Egypt. Egypt has declared to the World Health Organization that H5N1 is endemic there (see http://bit.ly/yWsc7Z )

The UN's FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) says that H5N1 is endemic in the following countries: Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Indonesia and Viet Nam (see http://bit.ly/yWsc7Z )

This is "mild". We don't bring over here the other nasty accusations being hurled back and forth over there.

Fact Geek: Yes it is endemic in Egypt. I posted for the location information, and I just disregarded the title.
I believe it is in that whole area. It has to be. But it will not be disclosed.
