Aichi, Japan found for H7N6 avian influenza virus subtype

Xinhua News Agency, Tokyo, March 1 (Reporter Qian Zheng) - MAFF press release one day said, Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, a quail farms found avian influenza virus was eventually identified as attenuated virus subtype H7N6 type.

The communique says that the number of quails quail farms in the recent routine inspection were found infected with the H7 bird flu virus, but has not yet been found dead quails. Aichi has the farms around the zoned area poultry embargo.

This is in Japan since 1925 has recorded the first time since discovered H7 avian influenza virus. Japan in 2008 had found that the number of wild birds infected with the H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza virus type.
