Avian influenza reached Egypt

The new 55-second human case of infection of avian influenza virus found in Egypt, the Egyptian Ministry of Health reported in a communiqué.

Dangerous to human strain of H5N1 virus detected in polutoragodovalogo Abu al-Wafa Suleiman from El-Minya south of Cairo. The cause of infection, as in most such cases, was the poultry.

The first signs of illness - fever and cough - emerged from a boy on Friday. On Saturday, he was hospitalized. At the present time the child is being treated special medication, his condition is assessed by doctors as stable.
