Delhi team visits flu hit areas in Cooch Behar

COOCH BEHAR, Feb. 5: A two-member team of Dr Anup Palit and Dr J Khan, observers from New Delhi, visited the Bird Flu affected areas in Cooch Behar district today. They would stay in the district till completion of the culling and mopping up drives.
The culling drive in the avian flu affected areas in Cooch Behar district would continue till tomorrow, as the target remains unfulfilled. The administration has therefore decided to extend it by a day, said the Cooch Behar district magistrate, Mr Rajesh Sinha. About 20,000 birds were culled in the villages of Mathabhanga and Dinhata sub-divisions till last night, the DM claimed
