Hong Kong authorities have closed the famous nature reserve due to bird flu

Hong Kong authorities have decided to close for a while after the famous sanctuary of identifying deaths of poultry from avian influenza. According to the Associated Press, popular among tourists and residents of the city park Maypo will be closed to the public for three weeks starting today. The authorities argue that this is done in precautions.

Earlier in the area, it was found the body of gray herons. The results of the examination showed that death was the heron virus H5N1, also known as avian influenza. Currently, experts are trying to establish a link between diseased poultry, and mainland China, where since the early years of bird flu deaths of five people.
