VietNamNet Bridge – The World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday released an announcement saying that the information about a report by WHO warning that 24.5% of imported fruit in Vietnam contains toxic preservative substances is inaccurate. According to WHO, that information is unable to be confirmed and WHO has no record of such a report.
That information came from an article from a local newspaper dated November 11. It was then used to question Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu about food safety and hygiene during the recent National Assembly session. |
